Barnyard Fun Dream Session
Hello, sweet Maggie! We had such a fun day with you with the chickens in the backyard! You’re only 2 ½ years old, but you’re already an AMAZING farmer, especially with the chickens! You’ve raised most of the hens and roosters you have yourself, haven’t you? They’ve grown up a lot faster than you, but you’re already a whole lot bigger than them, so I’d say you’re winning this round! And, against chickens, that’s quite the feat.
I wasn’t NEARLY as good with chickens as you are when I was your age! We had a really mean rooster who would chase us around and peck at us, and I was too afraid to go near him! I guess you could say that I was… chicken? Get it? But you would’ve had no problem taming him, Maggie! If you can get your chickens to stay still in a picnic basket, you could definitely get our rooster to stay in his coop without pecking us. I couldn’t stop laughing at the chicken in the basket!
Trust me when I say, we couldn’t even collect the eggs with our rooster, so your talent with them is quite the feat. You’re still learning how to crack eggs open gently, but I know you’ll get there soon. Can’t make an omelet without cracking a few eggs, right?
I can’t wait until you get to meet the new chicks that are working their way into the world. I know you’ll take just as good care of that as you have all the other hens and roosters in your coop. Your red and white gingham dress paired with the red bow and farmer boots makes you look like a real farmhand, and I’m sure your mommy & daddy appreciate the help you’ve given them. We are so lucky to be your aunt and uncle and to watch you grow up like this. We love you, Maggie!
Love,
Aunt B & Uncle Shawn
