Baseball Cake Smash Photo Shoot | Rowan 12 Months
Wind, rain, and even a little bit of snow did not stop us from celebrating Rowan and his 1st birthday!
This shoot was so uniquely you guys and I loved being a part of bringing Mom and Dad’s vision to life. Spending time on the field under the beautiful glow of a setting sun was truly a blast, even if it was fa-fa-fa-fa-freeeeeezing.
I love that we had two looks for you that day. We got dapper Rowan in your most precious thing ever bowtie and suspenders and we got rugged Rowan in your adorable baseball tee that made your eyes come to life.
Big sister, Lyla, looked beautiful too in her frilly dress! I do believe she would have marveled me with more twirls had it not been so cold. We can’t forget Mom and Dad! You guys were perfectly coordinated and you’re all such naturals, even if your Dad is usually behind the camera as part of the BGP Dream Team.
I know that the cake smash and the yummy chocolate hiding under the adorable baseball was probably your favorite part of the shoot, Rowan. I really cannot blame you. I haven’t eaten too many cakes while someone takes pictures of me, but I can only imagine I would be undeterred from really enjoying myself if the cake was as yummy as that one.
My favorite part of the shoot was the picture we took of your Daddy handing off the baseball to you. Even though it’s only pictures of your hands, the emotion behind it and the story that the picture tells brings a tear to my eye.
Happy Birthday, Rowan! You knocked this one out of the park! You are officially my new favorite baseball player. Next time, I will get your autograph.
