I hope this blog finds you (old enough to read and) surrounded by a life of love and joy. You and I already have so many fantastic memories together and this one at Cleveland Museum of Art continues to warm my heart- I have a feeling it will for years to come. From the moment we embarked on that (rare!) sunny afternoon in April for a fun family photo shoot amidst the blooming cherry blossom trees, we knew it was going to be a blast! To be honest, it always is with you!
Gibby, my little adventurer, you stole the show with your infectious giggles and boundless curiosity. Every click of the camera captured your vibrant spirit- and you were happy to ‘press the button’ and take pictures of me too! The cherry blossoms seemed to dance in celebration of you, my love- creating a backdrop as magical as your presence.
But that was just the beginning of our best day ever, love. Because it wasn’t just you this time. A new little pal is on the way to complete your perfect family this summer! Not just a sibling- but a partner in crime, and a friend for life. A BROTHERRRRRR! Oh man I get goosebumps just thinking about you two together already!
As we strolled through the trees, surrounded by blossoms, serenity and making silly faces lol… I couldn’t help but feel a deep sense of gratitude. Grady family, you have touched my life in ways I never expected. The love and connection I witnessed between the three of you are immeasurable, and I am honored to be not just a friend, but more like family to all of you.
Gibby, my sweet, your anticipation for your little brother’s arrival is palpable. I watched as you placed your tiny hands on mama’s growing belly, as if to say, “I can’t wait to meet you!” Your loving nature already shines through, and I have no doubt that you will be the best big brother anyone could ask for.
Grady family, as summer approaches and your family expands, may each day be filled with snuggles, sunshine & most importantly- ice cream runs with us!
So, as we eagerly await the arrival of your newest member, know that my heart is with you. May this next chapter of your lives be one of the very best of your lives! I will be there for it all- to make sure you never forget how it feels to hold an itty bitty newborn and to fill in as their favorite babysitter when you need a night out!
