What a beautiful day with a beautiful family at a beautiful location!
I always love photographing your family and watching you grow in love together. It was a super special extra addition to have Joey’s one-year shoot at the same place as we had Miles’ shoot when he was one. I loved to recreate some of the poses but with the flair of Joey’s personality.
Joey was a little unsure of me and I can’t really say I blame her for wondering about the lady with the giant camera telling everyone to turn this way and that. It’s ok though because I had a new lens that let me be slightly further away from her and then she really served the smiles.
You guys are one of those families that just make me feel like you were always meant to be together. I can practically see the love between you and I know that the kids must feel enveloped in love- and, seriously, the world could use more of that.
At the end of the shoot, we were able to do some pictures of Joey with her cake for a cake smash. The cake was absolutely gorgeous and Joey took some dainty tastes before deciding it was delicious and really digging in! Capturing the developing delight on her face was so much fun. I mean, I think we all feel so much joy about a delicious cake that’s pretty too! Joey even shared a cupcake with her brother, which isn’t something I do a lot, but how great is that? He hopped in some pictures with her and they both ate their treats surrounded by people that loved them in a setting practically out of painting. My job isn’t work, it’s so much fun- especially with families like yours!
I already cannot wait to see you again and watch how your family continues to grow in love and light.
