Dakota,
I wish you could have heard the laughter… 💕
At Dakota’s NICU session last week, it was a room full of people who love her- mommy, grandma, daddy (via facetime because he was with the team 🏀🏆), nurses, doctors, me…. And we were laughing. And I’ve heard it all about our service of blessing families in the NICU… ‘It’s the NICU- what is there to laugh about?! Aren’t you supposed to be so heartbroken and sad there? How do you take pictures there, it would just be too hard to see babies like that.’ 👶 But just like any other family falling so deeply in love with their newborn baby girl- it was all just this lighthearted silly fun giggling while talking about every expression on her face, the way she sucks on her pacifier (like Maggie Simpson- I’m telling you 😂), her little tuft of hair systems that sticks straight up in the sky. It was all of it. 🌷And the reason I tell you this is because this family, who has openly put their trust in God through this process, is able to find so much joy. Even from a rainy day in the NICU. If you are anywhere near Cleveland today, well, it’s rainy isn’t it?! 🌧 And for some of you life may be hard and it may be dark today. Take a page out of their book & find a way to find joy in the day that the Lord has made. No matter what you may be going through, give it up to Him, let Jesus take your burdens. 🙌 And dance in the rain. If you need a special prayer today, simply place a ❤️in the comments on this post. I promise to pray for you by name & to ask the Lord to help you see the sunshine. ☀️
Love,
Brittany
