Destination Family Photography
Long Lee Manor at Shamwari in South Africa is a stunning place- and a place so near and dear to my heart! And it just so happens to provide the perfect backdrop for a the perfect family photoshoot. Recently, I had the privilege of being part of spoiling this beautiful family at Shamwari, and it was truly an unforgettable experience for us all!
The family consisted of two of our Shamwari faves (and their two lovely daughters!). We were able to use both indoor and outdoor areas of the Long Lee Manor to capture some fantastic family moments. As we began the session, I couldn’t help but notice how all of you were beaming with excitement and anticipation. To be honest, so was I! You were dressed in the BEST outfits and were ready for fun!
We started by taking pictures inside the manor, which had an old-world charm and added an elegant touch. It’s one of my favorite places in the world- then just add some of my favorite people in the world and wow! The natural light streaming in through the windows was perfect, but nothing shined like you!
After that, we moved outside to capture some pictures amidst the beautiful grounds and lush greenery. The girls were having a great time playing with each other and running around, and it was lovely to see the whole family having so much fun together.
And of course at the end, there was a surprise in store for the girls! The Shamwari team had arranged for ice cream, which was waiting for them when we finished. The girls were ecstatic, and the parents were thrilled to see their little ones so happy.
What an incredible experience. (Oh yeah, and the pictures turned out amazing!). And I feel privileged to have been part of such a memorable day. Long Lee Manor in South Africa provided a stunning location that perfectly complemented the family’s warmth and love for each other.
