Hello again lovely Kaleia! We had the most fun weekend with you all the way in Wisconsin! Your family’s lake house is absolutely beautiful — plus it was fun to try all the cheese that Wisconsin had to offer. Your parents and grandparents were SO excited to do this shoot with you! Your dad especially — I met him in Cleveland, when he played for the Cleveland Browns, but now he’s across the country in New York for the Giants! While he may have a lot of adventures playing football and lighting up the field with his teammates, his favorite adventures are with you, little Kaleia.
And boy, did we have some adventures in Eagle River! You fish better than I could ever dream to (especially if you count throwing the stick into the water), and while we didn’t catch any fish, you sure did love the goldfish we brought that are now your pets! Your adorable pup, Amber, wasn’t as skilled at fishing as you were, but she did take down some watermelon like a champ! It was really the quintessential summer day, with the sun hot and the deck and the boat waiting for all of us after our fun! Kaleia, you might be too young to know this now, but moments like these will be the ones you look back on when you’re an adult and thinking about summer vacations. This lake house and fish and puppy-dog adventures. Hopefully it’ll be a bit easier to look back on them with the pictures we got, but all the same, I know you’ll treasure moments like these.
The moments your entire family spends together are the ones that’ll stay with you forever. So I wish you campfires, and pudgie pies, and bug-spray scented summers; I wish you happiness, and family, and watermelon grins. You’ll have it all. And more than anything, I hope you remember these moments — being happy fishing on the deck with your grandma & grandpa, who love you so.
