Flamingo Dream Session | Margot 12 Months
Hey, little Margot! What’s something that you and your favorite pink bird have in common? You both like to flamin-GO!! Your family missed you so made like a bird and flew– all the way from Chicago!– to get your pictures taken, and we couldn’t be more appreciative. Your pretty-in-pink dress could’ve made the sun smile, and it would’ve ruffled any peacock (or flamingo’s!) feathers with how perfect and precious you looked. It was the first time your flock had all been together since February, and it was SUCH a fun party!! Happiest birthday EVER! (Or should I say bird-day?)
While we enjoyed setting up the bubblegum-pink balloons and stacking your presents, your favorite part of the shoot was BY FAR the cake smash! The cake (decorated with — you guessed it– flamingos!) was too beautiful for me to even think about eating it, but you had no problem going to town on what was rightfully yours. I DID have to put my foot down when you tossed the whole thing onto the floor, though! We had to clean up chunks of cake and frosting, but I’d do it all again to take some more pictures with you and see you laugh again. By the way, did you know that flamingos are pink because everything they eat is pink, too? Your cheeks were rosy enough to make any bird jealous, and I think your whole family is going to be bright pink after all the sweets we had!
But, seriously, Margot, it was so so fun hanging out with you and celebrating your birthday. Your family adores you and loved seeing you, especially after so long, and we’re so glad to have been a part of that. I know that times are tough right now, but you’re flying high on the drafts of love and support of your family. And if you ever find yourself wavering? Just remember to be like a flamingo — stay balanced, stay with your flock, and stay fabulous.
