ILYSM. That is all. Just Kidding! I do love you so much, but I have so much more to say. Your Mommy told me that I had my work cut out for me because you never close your eyes. She wasn’t kidding! I have had some sweet little newborns that never close their eyes and it’s because they are having tummy troubles or are feeling fussy, but that wasn’t you. You are the sweetest, most content little baby doll with serious FOMO. I cannot blame you though because your family is so much fun. They’re funny and loving and just so amazing. I wouldn’t want to miss one single minute with them either!
I am so glad you brought Mommy and Daddy and big brother Jay with you to the session. I love love love newborn photography, but part of that is capturing this magical new family unit together for the first time. You are all so beautiful together and I know that you are going to have so much fun and be surrounded by so much love growing up together.
Even if you weren’t too interested in sleeping, we were still able to get some sneaky, dreamy sleeping shots. I do always love sleepy shots, but you just gazed right at me and I got some of the most beautiful shots where I completely lost myself in those eyes. You are so alert and held eye-contact better than any baby I’ve ever seen. We were also able to grab some sweet pictures of all of the things that change so quickly in newborns. Your tiny fingers and precious, perfect toes, and teeny back wrinkles, and the softness of your skin that the camera somehow manages to pick up. I swear I can just smell the newborn smell and hear your coos looking back at the pictures today. I hope these pictures freeze this time for Mommy and Daddy so they can always look back and remember just what it was like to hold you in their arms in these first, special days.
