A friend of mine asked me to take pictures of her one year old twins. Humbled, I picked up the brand new camera I was blessed with, studied my face off, got some fun set ups and captured Jackson & Riley for her in my apartment. We laughed and had a blast during that first session together.
Here I sit a full 2 years later… That friend- who is now one of my very best friends on the planet and an extremely talented Newborn Posing Specialist along side me on this crazy journey and I still laugh and have the time of our lives at sessions together. She makes the crazy days sane again and has the patience of an angel with even the most fussy little babes. Her hands are magic and they instantly calm when she’s around.
Jen came along side me at 40 weeks pregnant (yes, you read that one right too she was FORTY weeks pregnant- due in mere DAYS- with Maddie at her first session with me) & then rocked out her own daughter’s session giving me some of my all time favorite newborn images to date. Being the mommy of a little one herself, she knows exactly what the parents are feeling when they had a rough night or two and is always happy to lend an ear and give a hug to these new, very tired, moms and dads.
And the newest addition to the team, Leslie, is incredible. She poses these newborns with the biggest smile (and 10 years of mommy expertise to boot!) and so much heart. Her great moods are infectious and you can’t help but have a ball with her around. When a baby pees all over me (or her!) she finds a way to make me laugh hard enough to want to pee my own pants. For real. That happened and I almost peed my own pants laughing with her. Ha!
And I am so thankful to God for them and for this adventure. I am incredibly thankful for the clients He has blessed me with & for the love that I get to capture every single day. I am thankful for the places that this camera and I get to go together and for the ability to bless others and show them a piece of God’s love.
Brittany Gidley Photography LLC is for God’s glory-nothing else. There is one focus and that is to showcase the love of Christ & the beauty that He alone creates.
I haven’t worked a day in my life after that first session because this isn’t a job and it’s not work. It’s a passion, it’s a privilege, and sometimes it’s a party to love on each and every one of you.
As Jackie, Jen, Leslie & I look ahead to year three… (3?! Sheesh that went fast!) there are big plans in store for Brittany Gidley Photography. Some of you have already asked about if the rumors are true- and they are. We are formally announcing that we will be serving New York City and the surrounding greater New York area as well as Cleveland, OH for newborn, baby and family photography. We are happy to travel to the Big Apple to give those babies and families the award winning images and spectacular experience that we are known for.
We want you to know how thankful we are for the trust that you put in the team here at BGP. We promise to pour every inch of our hearts and souls into perfect sessions for you and we thank you for allowing us to do so. When we say that we love you all- please know that we mean it from the bottom of our hearts.
