Welcome, Baby Isla!
You are a dream come true! I have been with Carson his whole life and I am beyond thrilled that he now has you for a baby sister! It was fun to switch gears from our usual shoots with your family and turn the pink all the way up.
Your perfect porcelain skin makes you look like an absolute baby doll. If I hadn’t known better I might have thought you actually were one because, besides your soft sighs of contentment, you didn’t make a peep. You slept so soundly through all my fussing over you and headband changes and shutter clicks. The only thing I am sorry about is that I didn’t get to see if you are going to have your brother’s same mesmerizing blue eyes, but there is plenty of time for that. You do favor him already and I am just tickled pink to watch you grow.
Having Mom and Dad and Carson back in the studio with me was such a blast. Never were there two children who are loved or wanted more. Your parents are so gentle and doting. It is so wonderful to watch them with you guys because their hearts nearly beat out of their chests with love. In one of the photos, Dad gave you a soft kiss on the lips and it looks like you were almost trying to kiss him back. It melted me right into a puddle.
Carson wasn’t so sure about me once we plunked him down next to you on the bed, but he warmed up. He was much happier about my picture-taking contraption when he was safely in Momma and Daddy’s arms and I totally get that. He is smitten with you though and is so gentle even though he is still a tiny thing himself. I am so excited to see your relationship evolve as you grow together as besties.
I already cannot wait to see you again!
