Everett and Charlotte, we had such a good time at the beach with you at Edgewater! We wanted to go to the beach to celebrate the last few days of summer before everything becomes pumpkin-spiced flavored (not that we would EVER say no to a good PSL!). Up here in Cleveland, autumn hits hard and fast, and before we blink the trees have gone from vibrant orange to snow-covered branches. Which is why we decided to go to the beach and recreate some images that we did with Everett exactly 2 years ago with his new baby sister Charlotte!
Edgewater Beach is one of our favorite places to shoot. The sunsets are STUNNING and we always have so much fun playing in the sand and exploring the shore! Everett and Charlotte, the water didn’t scare you two AT ALL, and we had so much fun splashing around and making fools of ourselves. Your mom and dad even joined in! I just needed a beach ball and a lemonade and I couldn’t have been any happier.
We want you two to remember this moment, and to remember summers like this. Summers when you get to relax and have fun and be silly with your friend and family. There are a lot of things that keep us warm — warm lattes and scarves in the fall, and the shining warmth of the sun in the summer. And while those keep our hands and our skin warm, it’s keeping moments like this in your head that will keep your heart and soul warm. We hope you realize that moments like these, summers like these, are the way that we can build a brighter and warmer future.
Even though we’re still picking sand out of our hair and clothes, we wouldn’t’ve traded this moment for the world.
