I still get goosebumps every time I walk down Main Street in Magic Kingdom no matter how many times I do it, but being part of your first walk down Main Street, Austyn, took the magic to a whole new level. You were a little shy at first. I am not sure shy is the word. It might have been more of you just taking it all in. Disney with its smells, colorful displays, piped-in music, and, sometimes, crowds can be a lot for a little Princess like you at first. I totally get it. Holding your hand and watching you take in all of the excitement at your own pace made me feel like it was my first time at Disney again too!
You lit up like the fireworks display once we got you riding some rides. The whirl of the carousel with its ornate animals; going round and round and round in the teacups, and bouncing up and down on Dumbo is where you really exploded out of your shell. I am practically giddy just reliving those moments with you in my mind while I put this blog together. That feeling, the wonder, is what keeps people like me coming back to Disney. I hope these images will help you remember your first time as you get more and more magical memories under your belt. There is nothing quite like it.
I have to admit that watching Mommy and Daddy watch you was nearly as much fun as just watching you! They were captivated by you and your happiness made them have the best day of their lives too. I don’t know if I have ever seen your Mommy smile as big as she was smiling that day at Disney!
